Rachel Wedding Dress Tailoring

In 2020, I established Raquel Dior Wedding Dresses, a studio offering couture-designed custom- made bridal dresses. Situated in Moshav Zeitan, the studio houses both the showroom and manufacturing facility. Despite facing numerous challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and a military operation, the business has consistently experienced growth in sales and profit.

Following the war, many weddings were postponed, leading brides who had ordered dresses to decline payment, and no new customers emerged due to the absence of scheduled weddings for several months. The funds obtained through the loan will be utilized to settle payments to our suppliers involved in the project.

My impact loan status:

$26,712 / $26,712

Micro lending, Macro Impact

Following the war, most of the weddings were postponed and the brides who ordered dresses refused to pay for the dresses, and no new customers came in because no weddings were scheduled for several months ahead. The money we receive in the loan will be used to pay the suppliers we hired for the project, for example raw materials purchased, photo production conducted and payment to the studio employees.

My business - My spark

My passion for crafting clothes for myself began in childhood. At the age of 21, following an inspiring journey, I embarked on formal studies in imagery and haute couture, instantly falling in love with the field. I founded Raquel Dior Wedding Dresses, in 2020. The studio offers couture designed dresses by Racheli.  The studio, which is located in Moshav Zeitan, includes the showroom and manufacturing studio. In order to provide the best service, I meet all the brides at the sales meetings and closely follow the process of making the wedding dress. All the dresses are sewn in the studio. All purchases, raw materials, fabrics, work tools, sewing machines, mannequins and more we make sure to purchase only from local suppliers. In 2022 there was a 100% increase in revenue and we expect another increase in 2024.
