My business is a nursery school that caters to full-time working parents. Following the war, we had to halt activities at the kindergarten for two months due to safety concerns about sending children without a bomb shelter. Despite these efforts, some children left the program, and I had to take out a loan to build a shelter for the children. I am requesting a loan to stabilize and sustain the business.

Micro lending, Macro Impact

Following the war, we had to halt activities at the kindergarten for two months due to safety concerns about sending children without a bomb shelter . We then relocated to the home of one of the parents to continue operations in a limited capacity, allowing our workers to stay employed and support parents. Despite these efforts, some children left the program, and I had to take out a loan to build a protective space. Additionally, I adopted two children in the past six months. The cessation of activities and the departure of children, combined with the added responsibilities, led to financial instability and even raised fears of closure. I am requesting a loan to stabilize and sustain the business.

My business - My spark

My business is a nursery school that caters to full-time working parents. I specifically chose this profession because I have always loved working with children. As a mother of nine, my experience and knowledge have contributed significantly to my professional development. The business has been my source of energy throughout challenging times. I enjoy investing in it and the children, understanding that I am raising and shaping the next generation. It is important to me to impart values and traditions with a warm approach and provide an income for my family doing something I am passionate about.

A few more words

I am Rachel Levy from Acre, married for 25 years, and a mother of nine children. Over four years, with hard work and dedication, I built a kindergarten from scratch. My children and I sacrificed our living room, bedroom, and privacy for the sake of the business. The day after closing the contract, I received the devastating news that my eldest son was seriously injured while traveling in South America. This required me to juggle the demands of the business and the hospital. For two years, we fought for his leg, and after many surgeries, he was able to recover and eventually walk down the aisle on two legs.
